ONE PRODUCT DOES IT ALL

Jan. 1, 2011
Hi Carol & Sue, I just wanted to let you know that "Way Too Much" aka "T" is doing so much better and we thank you so much for all your help with that dreaded P word!!! The Kunkers ran out of her as fast as they could when we put her back on the oils! We are determined to beat this thing. We have pictures and a bio of how she is doing.   Thank you soooo very much again, I was so worried we were going to lose her and you are literally a life saver!

Thank you so much! I have attached a couple pics of what we started with which was August 16th 2010. At this point we were using penicillin and Panicure to reduce the swelling and make sure she was worm free. We named her 'Way too much' because she has been through way too much, we just call her T.

Meet "Way Too Much",
a rescued mare in Arkansas with Pythium Insidiosum
Her story as of August 16, 2010
Be sure to scroll to the end, as this case is our furthest north and is not complete as yet.
Sorry for the delay in sending more pics... life happened again...lol. I have attached some more pics. These are more from 8/20/10, at this point we still didnt know it was Pythiosis. We were treating it as Proud Flesh. The greenish stuff is copper sulphate mixed with Furazone to help "eat away" the extra flesh. We did this everyday for a couple weeks. Wrap it in the morning with the CS mix and wash it off later that day with some light scrubbing. After the light scrubbing we would spray it with Blue Coat, which is the reason it is blueish in the last pic. We got lots of skin off and it did reduce the size of the wound.

These are early September and using Fungus Free. The wound is still wet and oozy & you can see a few Kunkers getting ready to pop out. We were getting some great pink flesh and we were hoping we were on the finishline. At this point still didnt know it was Pythiosis and we were "expressing" the wound to get the Kunkers and juiciness out... yuck. We now know not to do that!
These were taken late September when we moved her to our house. The Fungus Free is making nice helathy pink granulation tissue appear on the wound and it is much easier to clean the bad skin off. It had the remaining Kunkers running for their lives. Several little ones, but as the oils worked the wound was healing from front to back, where the original wound was. There was a concentration of large flesh where all the bad stuff collected and moved its way out. We are getting some hair growth and new skin growth too. The last pic is of the last big Kunker we got out of her, look at the size of that thing! and I have long fingers!
These pics are from October 21, 2010. We hadn't seen a Kunker in weeks so we took her in for a debridement. The vet didn't think she had ever had Pythiosis because he had never seen it in an active stage. Great news!  As you can see she has lots of new skin and hair growth. There is only one oozy part left and she is looking good. At this point we have had her on the Fungus Free for about a month and a half , both the internal and the topical.
We figured with the great vet visit we beat it...wrong. There is great importance of keeping up with the Fungus Free treatment to the bitter end! Pythiosis WILL come back with great vengeance! 'Too Much' is proof. We put her in a larger pasture with other horses and let her have some horsey time with some friends. Bad move, she was out there for about 3 weeks and here is what happened. These pics were taken December 19th. She had bitten off her hair up and down her leg from itching so much and you can see the holes that these masive Kunkers were just falling out of. KEEP YOUR HORSE ON THE TREATMENT!!! IT WORKS!                  Don't make the same mistake we did!
DO NOT DISCONTINUE USE!!!

PLEASE READ WHAT HAPPENED!!
These are from January 3rd 2011, as you can see there is a marked improvement. She was back on Fungus Free only for about a week and a half at this point. It is still oozy and bloody but not as bad as it was. There are alot less Kunkers and she has stopped itching and biting herself. Poor 'Too Much' if I had any idea this would happen I would have never stopped giving her Fungus Free! We wiped down her leg every morning and it gets this gross and crusty during the day and over night.
Feb. 23, 2011 She is doing so much better and as you will see in these new pictures I am sending soon. She is growing hair back again... yeah!  We have been giving her her oils religiously and once again it is working like a charm.  Once again I would like to extend my great thanks and appreciation to all you guys do for all the animals if it weren't for you I dont know what we would have done.
