All of us at Vinceramos were very happy to have Fungus Free as one of our treatment tools when one of our Therapy horses contracted Phythiosis on his eye lid and his knee.
Our veterinarian treated it internally with a vaccine. Externally we treated it with the Fungus Free daily. Because of the location of the outbreak, it was extremely difficult to treat. We had to be very careful that anything that we used would not harm his eye. It was a long healing process.
With this condition, there are kunkers that have to come to the surface and be discharged for the healing process to take place. Throughout this process we treated the wounds with silver nitrate sticks and Fungus Free. The open sores healed beautifully without proud flesh and very little scarring. Fungus Free was a very effective part of our daily treatment routine. In some cases it can be impossible to heal and in the end fatal. Thankfully Jamie has recovered from this condition and is back at work helping countless children in their therapy sessions, inspiring them to speak, walk, laugh or simply respond with a smile.
